About the Position
We are seeking a suitably qualified and collaborative teacher to join our thriving Primary department in a maternity leave role. The successful candidate will be a dynamic educator who is a committed Christian, actively involved in their local church. This role is grounded in a commitment to academic excellence, discipleship, and holistic student development, ensuring that each child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow in both faith and learning.
About You
With the ability to drive and facilitate a deep love of learning in students, your Christian faith will be evident in your ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into student learning and wellbeing experiences. As a Primary teacher at PCS, you will have a passion for engaging students’ love of learning, inspiring and fostering their skills, creativity and enjoyment, whilst developing their skills in foundational Literacy and Numeracy areas. Along with NESA accreditation and a current Working with Children Check, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- strong personal faith and commitment to Christian education
- high quality teaching practice aligned to current curriculum and pedagogy
- ability to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment
- collaborative, innovative and effective practice in a team environment
- highly relational interpersonal skills
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- confidence in integrating technology to enhance learning
- a clear understanding of differentiated learning and assessment, catering for the individual needs of all students
- professional integrity, reliability, and commitment to continuous improvement
- demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and child-safe practice
- experienced preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply
