Passionate Inclusion Support Assistant Educator Required

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity exists at Parklands Christian College. Our Early Learning Centre – Parklands Little Learners are seeking a professional and passionate Inclusion Support Educators to work in our Kinder Program. This is a 30 hour per week, 12 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of being extended. Parklands Christian College is a growing school located on 46 acres of land on the southern corridor from Brisbane to Beaudesert at Park Ridge, Logan, QLD. About the Role Inclusion Support Educator If you’re keen to inspire and enhance the holistic development of each individual child, build strong relationships with families and you’re also a passionate educator, then you’re invited to consider this exciting opportunity. Responsibilities will include: Assist with ensuring the service’s commitment to continuous improvement is upheld. Assist in the preparation and implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate inclusion support programs for individual children and groups Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes. Under direction, work with individual children with particular needs. Undertake and implement the requirements of quality assurance. Work in accordance with food safety regulations. Contribute to developmental programs and communicate accordingly with families. Reflect on practices and work towards quality improvement. Welcome each child and their family to the service each day. Have strong communication skills with children, families, other educators and the wider college community. Commitment to ongoing learning and development. Ensure all information and documentation is recorded and passed onto the relevant personnel. Adhere to relevant policies and procedures. Assist with the service’s day-to-day tasks such as assisting children with meals, and cleaning and preparing the room. Requirements About you You hold a minimum Diploma Qualification (Approved by ACECQA). You have at least one year’s experience supporting young children in a Inclusion Support role or similar context. You hold current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certifications. You are committed to maintaining current knowledge and attending additional training as necessary. You hold a current paid Working with Children’s Check. You have experience and knowledge of NQF, NQS and the EYLF. You are competent in actioning administrative tasks and using technology.
