Head of Faculty – Mathematics

This is an exciting opportunity to join us at Parklands Christian College. We are currently hiring and have a Secondary Head of Faculty: Mathematics position available to commence in Term 3, 2026. We would love for a passionate educator to join our esteemed team.

Subject Areas:

• Mathematics (Years 7–12)
• Experience teaching Specialist Mathematics is highly desirable
• Ability to teach junior Science would be advantageous

Skills:

• Lead and support a team of Mathematics teachers
• Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of Mathematics programs across Years 7–12
  Ensure alignment with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) senior syllabuses and assessment practices
• Monitor student progress and support strategies for academic improvement
• Contribute to whole-school strategic priorities and Christian formation.

To be successful, you will have:

• QCT Registration (or eligibility).
• An active Christian faith.
• Ability to work proactively within a cooperative teaching team.
• Effective problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Lesson planning, including objectives, and assessments.
• Ability to evaluate student work, providing written and verbal feedback
