Pacific Valley Christian School, NSW Learning Support Teacher position  Dream position available in far North NSW. A 20-minute drive to the picturesque beaches at Brooms Head and Yamba, where you will be spoilt with a cosmopolitan experience in the local cafes and restaurants. Spend your afternoons and weekends walking along the designated walking paths along the Clarence Valley River in Maclean and the walking path from the Yamba Marina to Main Beach. Adult’s and Children’s sports are supported especially in netball, league, cricket, basketball, swimming, nippers, surfing and touch football. The Clarence Valley offers a generous choice of Christian churches and youth groups open for all to attend. For retail therapy we can offer Coffs Harbour and Ballina within an hour’s drive, both locations offering an airport for family and friends to fly into and visit. If you dare cross the QLD boarder, you will be there in less than 2 hours. Pacific Valley Christian School is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Christian school with over 265 students, located in Townsend, Far North NSW. Emphasises is on excellence and growth in Christian character with its vision being ‘to provide a Christian educational community as a centre of teaching, learning and serving excellence founded on Biblically-based beliefs, values and behaviour’. We are seeking an experienced and committed Christian educator to work within the Learning Support program across a K-12 school. The successful applicant will have a broad knowledge of current best practice in learning and behaviour support, and the legislative requirements associated with students with disabilities. They will be passionate and committed to inclusive learning practices including curriculum differentiation. Applicants must have: • Have an excellent understanding of the NSW Curriculum and Syllabus across Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools. • Experience in creating, implementing, and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) ensuring that all stakeholders are involved including parents. • Must have an exemplary ability to identify and evaluate student needs and work with students with disabilities. • Training staff on how to implement adjustments. • Experience in managing and preparing for NCCD • Ability to differentiate instruction for students along all parts of the learning spectrum and strong communication skills including the ability to work with parents, students and colleagues within the faculty, campus and wider school. • Ability to analyse data to inform teaching practice and supports for both individuals and classes across the school • You must be a registered teacher by the NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA) • hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC). • Show proof of double vaccination • Possess organisational skills • Demonstrate a commitment to the pastoral care of students This is a full-time position and will commence Term 1, 2022.
