Primary School Classroom Teacher (Full Time)

Oxley Christian College is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Generalist Classroom Teacher to join our Junior School team, commencing in January 2025. We are looking for an individual who is not only qualified and experienced but also shares our commitment to delivering exceptional education within a Christian environment. The successful candidate will be able to teach from a Biblical perspective and uphold the College values while planning and delivering lessons using the Australian Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Planning: Develop and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Australian Curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for students.
• Biblical Perspective: Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into the curriculum, fostering spiritual and moral development among students.
• Upholding College Values: Demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding the values and ethos of Oxley Christian College, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a well organised and positive classroom environment conducive to learning, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the broader school community to support the holistic development of students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Primary Education or a related field (with teaching qualifications).
• Current teaching certification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Experience in teaching primary school students, preferably in an Australian Curriculum based setting.
• Ability to teach from a Biblical perspective and integrate Christian values into teaching practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
