Oxley Christian College is an independent, coeducational school in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Generalist Classroom Teacher to join our Junior School (Prep – Year 6) team, commencing in January 2026.

We are looking for a teacher who is not only experienced but also shares our commitment to delivering exceptional education within a Christian environment. The successful candidate will be able to teach from a Biblical perspective and uphold the College values while planning and delivering lessons using the Australian National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Teaching and Planning: Develop and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Australian Curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for students.
  • Biblical Perspective: Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into the curriculum, fostering spiritual and moral development among students.
  • Upholding College Values: Demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding the values and ethos of Oxley Christian College, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well organised and positive classroom environment conducive to learning, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the broader school community to support the holistic development of students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education degree in Primary Education or a related field (with teaching qualifications).
  • Experience teaching primary school students, preferably in an Australian Curriculum based setting.
  • Ability to teach from a Biblical perspective and integrate Christian values into teaching practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
