Academic Support Coordinator (K-12)

Orange Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Academic Support Coordinator (ASC) to lead our Academic Growth Centre and oversee learning support and enrichment across our K–12 community. This is an exciting opportunity for a Christian educator with strong leadership skills and a heart for nurturing students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.

Orange Christian School is a Christ-centred, co-educational Prep to Year 12 school with over 535 students, located in the beautiful Central West of NSW. About the Role
The Academic Support Coordinator will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Academic Support Teachers and Teacher’s Aides.
  • Oversee learning support and enrichment programs, including Individual Education Plans and adjustments in line with NCCD guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with staff, families, and allied health professionals to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster an inclusive, Christ-centred environment where all students can thrive.
  • Provide professional development and advocacy for inclusive practices.

This is a full-time leadership position, reporting to the Deputy Principal – Academics, and includes participation in the school’s Coordinator Executive Team.

About You
We are seeking an experienced and qualified teacher with:

  • A strong Christian faith and active involvement in a local church.
  • Current NESA accreditation and a valid Working With Children Check.
  • Experience in special education, learning support, and/or enrichment programs.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive education, disability legislation, and NCCD requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A heart for Christian education and a genuine desire to see students flourish academically and spiritually
