Nowra Christian School are currently inviting applications from committed Christians of Protestant persuasion who are active in their local church, to join our Secondary team in 2027, as a:

Secondary Teacher (TAS/PDHPE) – 2027

Full-time Secondary position teaching both TAS and PDHPE, commencing Term 1, 2027.

• Enjoy the variety and challenge of teaching across both TAS and PDHPE to Stages 4-5 students.
• Ideal for a versatile educator who enjoys diverse subject matter and wants to broaden their teaching experience
• Share your love for Jesus and have a positive impact on the lives of students in a Christian context

Selection Criteria

• A strong Christian faith and an active member of a local Protestant church
• An understanding and/or experience of teaching from a Christian worldview
• Experience and appropriate qualifications in teaching either Stages 4-5 TAS or Stages 4-5 PDHPE
• Willingness to teach in both TAS and PDHPE faculties would be desirable
• An ability to provide high quality explicit teaching and learning programs that leverage ICT
• An understanding of best-practice approaches in student assessment
• Excellent classroom management
• Well-developed interpersonal skills

   

  Mandatory Requirements

• Current Protestant church minister’s referee details
• Completion of the school’s online application form
• Current NSW Working With Children Check approval number
• NSW Teacher Accreditation number
