Casual Relief School Nurse

About the role
Lighthouse Christian College in Keysborough, VIC is seeking a Casual Relief School Nurse to join their team. This is a casual role which will involve providing essential nursing services to students and staff on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the school community.

What you’ll be doing

Providing first aid and emergency care to students and staff
Administering medications as required
Monitoring student health conditions and implementing care plans
Maintaining accurate medical records and student health files
Liaising with parents, teachers and other healthcare professionals
Supporting the implementation of the school’s health and safety policies
Assisting with health promotion and education initiatives

What we’re looking for

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a community nursing or school nursing role
Strong knowledge of first aid, emergency care and medication management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive, organized and detail-oriented approach
Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school community
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory
Bachelor of Nursing qualification is required
