King’s Early Learning

Our goal is to provide a faith based, centre of excellence for children aged three to five years of age.  Our philosophy is driven by the belief that children are God’s gift and are all unique, full of potential and contributors to society.  Learning within the centre is underpinned by the inspirational early childhood, educational work and approach from Reggio Emilia, Italy.  The centre has brand new and modern facilities that support this approach to learning.

Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated individual who can effectively manage administrative tasks, maintain regulatory compliance, provide outstanding service to our stakeholders, and actively contribute to our community’s success.

The role on offer is a replacement contract for Semester 2, 2025. The working hours are part time (22.5 hours) across 50 weeks of the year (inclusive of 4 weeks paid annual leave).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of effective systems and processes that ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Delivering exceptional service and support to ELC students and their families and caregivers
  • Supporting the administrative management of the centre’s database system including maintaining the integrity of master attendance for invoicing and the submission of CCS.
  • Providing relief cover on the floor to ensure ratio compliance as needed (if appropriately qualified)
  • Maintaining a child safe environment within the centre.

Essential Criteria

A personal commitment to the King’s Vision, Mission and values underpinning the delivery of a Christian based education to students is essential to this position.

The role also requires:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • The ability to be adaptable and manage multiple priorities whilst providing professional customer service.
  • A sound knowledge of the processes and regulations relating to the Child Care Subsidy and experience with CCS submission software (ideally Xplor).
  • An awareness of the National Quality Regulation.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills portraying a welcoming and friendly disposition, including the ability to interact with families of all cultural backgrounds.
  • High level understanding of Work, Health and Safety policies and procedures within a school environment, in particular Emergency Response processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working in an administrative role
  • Current Mandatory Notification training (renewed every three years)
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates (or willing to obtain)
  • An ACECQA approved Certificate 3/Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards) would be highly desirable
