The Position:

Due to the continued growth of the College, we are seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee and lead our First Aid Team at our Werribee campus.

The Nurse Manager performs a vital role in providing the first aid and health care needs of students. In addition, the Nurse Manager will provide knowledge and guidance in the health care of students with complex medical needs as part of supporting the wellbeing of all students.

This position is part-time but is required to work 5 days per week onsite.

Contributes to a safe and healthy workplace for staff, students and Volunteers.

Education and Experience:

Demonstrating a commitment to the Lordship of Christ in all areas of their life, the Nurse will:

  • Have experience and an understanding of current Health and Medical trends, practices and policies.
  • Practices within the Nurses Code of Conduct as defined by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority.
  • Practices in accordance with the National School Nursing Standards for Practice as defined by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical practice and provide comprehensive school nursing and general health care.
  • Has a strong organisational skillset.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Current unrestricted Division 1 Nursing Registration with AHPRA (Essential)
  • Minimum of HLTFA403C (manage first aid in the workplace – level 3 first aid including anaphylaxis, asthma and diabetes).
  • Working with Children Check (E) and a Police check.
  • Experience in working in a Primary and Secondary School Health Care environment or with children and adolescents in a medical setting.
