The Position:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Enhancement Coordinator to join the Werribee campus. This is a key leadership position that will guide the Learning Enhancement team to support and extend student learning, with a focus on providing expertise to teaching staff and fostering a Christ-centered, supportive educational environment.
Reporting to the Director of Student Wellbeing, the Learning Enhancement Coordinator will lead a team consisting of Learning Enhancement teachers and Learning Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning programs, including literacy and numeracy support and extension. This role is integral to the Student Wellbeing Team and will work collaboratively with the Student Welfare Coordinator and College Nurse to address the holistic needs of students.
The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to Christian values, demonstrate leadership in educational support programs, and possess excellent organisational skills. With experience in managing educational support programs, they will contribute to the development and empowerment of staff, creating a positive and Christ-centered team culture.
Position is 0.5 Learning Enhancement Teacher and 0.5 Leader with allowance and time release.
The Person:
• Have a demonstrated commitment to the Lordship of Christ in all areas of their life.
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the achievement of the College’s mission and educational direction.
• Have an extensive experience and a deep understanding of current educational support programs, trends, practices, and policies.
• Have appropriate leadership qualifications and / or experience:
• Special Education Degree
• The ability to build the capacity of their team members and for creating a positive, healthy, Christ Centred culture within the team.
• Be committed to the development and empowerment of the staff.
• Have a strong organisational skillset.
• Be able to be an effective team member.
