About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, relational, and strategic Head of College Operations to lead our K-12 staff and students into the next season of growth. This is a newly created, key leadership role.
You will work closely within the Executive Team to shape the vision and direction of education related operations at GCC, foster a culture of excellence and care, and support staff and students to grow in both faith and learning.
The Head of College Operations ensures the smooth running of daily activities across Kindergarten to Year 12. Reporting to the Principal, this role is central to the coordination of school-wide operations, calendar management, major events, compliance, and relief staffing.
This is a part-time leadership position (0.8 FTE) requiring flexibility, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. You will work closely with the Principal, Executive Team, and Leaders to support the school’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead academic operations that support a strong and positive culture grounded in Christian faith, wellbeing, and high academic standards.
- Work collaboratively and facilitate effective communication with families, teaching and non-teaching staff and the broader school community.
- Maintain a visible presence in the classroom through a part-time teaching load.
- Lead and manage operational systems and procedures across K–12.
- Coordinate school calendars, timetables, activities and major events.
- Oversee relief staffing.
- Manage compliance for excursions/incursions (including sport activities) and emergency procedures.
- Support academic operations including NAPLAN, HSC, exams, and subject selection.
- Contribute to strategic planning and policy development as part of the Executive Team.
About You
You are a proactive and approachable leader who enjoys being organised and thinking strategically. To be considered, you must:
- Be a committed, practising Christian, actively involved in a local church.
- Support the mission and values of Greenacre Christian College.
- Demonstrate high-level organisational and technological literacy.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, strategic thinking and organisational skills.
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation.
- Prove experience in school operations or educational leadership.
Ability to teach Design and Technology is advantageous.
