Glasshouse Christian College invites applications for a Primary Music Teacher (continuing/ongoing, part-time 0.4FTE) to commence in January 2026. This role is for two days per week during term time.
We are seeking a passionate educator who loves inspiring children through music and can bring strings and orchestral experience to enrich our growing Primary program. At the College, music is a joyful expression of creativity and faith, and our teachers play a vital role in helping students discover their God-given gifts through performance, collaboration, and creative exploration.

The Role
In this part-time role, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Primary classroom Music lessons for designated year levels.
- Foster students’ enjoyment of music through singing, movement, and introductory instrumental experiences.
- Support the growth of choirs, ensembles, and co-curricular music activities as appropriate to the scope of the position.
- Collaborate with the Instrumental Music Coordinator and Performing Arts team to support College performances and events.
- Contribute to a positive and vibrant culture of music-making within the Primary School.
You will have access to our exceptional Performing Arts Precinct, including dedicated music rooms, rehearsal spaces, and a state-of-the-art Performance Hall with orchestra pit—providing an inspiring environment for teaching and learning.
About You
You will demonstrate:
- A relevant tertiary teaching qualification, preferably with a focus in Music Education.
- Current registration/accreditation with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Proven ability to teach classroom music at the Primary level.
- Skills in leading or supporting choirs, ensembles, or group performances.
- Proficiency with stringed instruments.
- A collaborative, flexible, and student-focused approach to teaching.
- A commitment to aligning with and actively supporting the values and Christian ethos of the College.
