Glasshouse Christian College seeks a College Pastor (Chaplain) to provide pastoral care and support for our female students in Years 7-12. This is a full-time, continuing position five days per week during term time with the same school holidays as teachers. The position begins in January 2025. This role has been specifically designated for a pastor to meet the unique needs of our female students, particularly in areas of personal counselling and support, and participation in camps and activities. We are seeking someone who:

  • Holds theological qualifications (Diploma of Ministry or higher) or is willing to obtain these qualifications.
  • Has a strong history of regular church involvement.
  • Is a person of mature Christian faith, modelling character and integrity.
  • Is passionate about working with young people (particularly females) and helping them navigate their spiritual journey.

This is a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of young people, providing guidance, support, and spiritual care that will shape their futures and faith. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, biblically-based Chapel services and devotions.
  • Offer pastoral care, focusing on the spiritual and emotional needs of female students.
  • Participate in camps and events (including girls-only), providing mentorship and support.
  • Support the College’s outreach and justice mission programs.
  • Contribute to the teaching and learning environment.

This role is designed to ensure our female students have a pastor they feel comfortable approaching for personal counselling, spiritual guidance, and in gender-specific environments, such as camps and retreats. A First Aid Certificate is required or must be undertaken within the first three months of employment and a current Working with Children ‘Blue Card’ is essential.
