Business Manager

Business Manager Full-time | Commencing Term 3 or earlier by negotiation.

Glasshouse Christian College is seeking an experienced and committed Business Manager to join our leadership team.

This is a senior role offering the opportunity to contribute strategically and operationally to the life of a thriving Christian school community.

Reporting to the Principal and working closely with the College Board, the Business Manager plays a key role in stewarding the College’s financial, administrative, property, compliance and operational functions, ensuring they align with the College’s mission, values and long-term vision.

About the Role
As a member of the College’s Senior Management Team, the Business Manager will provide leadership across a broad portfolio, including:

• Strategic financial planning, budgeting, reporting and risk management
• Oversight of accounting, payroll, taxation, audits and fee management
• Leadership and supervision of finance, administration, property, transport and support services staff
• Oversight of compliance, workplace health and safety, policy management and governance requirements
• Management of property operations, capital works and infrastructure projects
• Effective communication with staff, parents, external partners and regulatory bodies

About You
The successful applicant will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in financial and operational management, ideally within an independent school setting
• Strong expertise in accounting, finance, risk management, compliance and business operations
• High-level leadership and people-management skills
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal abilities
• Confidence working with modern business and school management systems
• The capacity to contribute thoughtfully to strategic planning in a complex organisation

Most importantly, the Business Manager will demonstrate a personal Christian faith, active involvement in a local church, and the ability to provide Christian leadership while supporting and promoting the Christian ethos of the College.
