Primary HPE Teacher (12-month contract 4 days per week)
Glasshouse Christian College is seeking an energetic and dedicated Primary HPE Teacher for a, 12-month contract for four days per week commencing in 2026.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Primary HPE Teacher who can actively support and uphold the values and Christian ethos of the College. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for an educator who thrives on promoting physical activity, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits in young learners through purposeful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
The successful candidate will deliver a broad and well-structured primary sports program, nurture students’ physical skill development, and contribute to the organisation of sporting events and co-curricular activities. You will have access to excellent facilities and equipment, providing a positive environment for students to learn, grow, and participate with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging primary physical education lessons.
- Foster students’ skills in fundamental movement, teamwork, coordination, and fair play.
- Support and help organise school sporting events, carnivals, and inter-school competitions.
- Encourage participation, resilience, and personal best achievements in all students.
- Contribute to the development of age-appropriate sport and physical activity programs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Primary team and the wider school community.
About You
- Relevant tertiary teaching qualification, preferably with a focus on Physical Education or HPE.
- Current teaching accreditation/registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Demonstrated ability to teach Physical Education at the Primary level.
- Strong understanding of fundamental movement skills and child development in sport.
- Ability to coordinate and support sporting events and co-curricular activities.
- A collaborative, flexible, and student-focused teaching approach.
- A commitment to aligning with and actively supporting the values and Christian ethos of the College.
