Our School
Geneva Christian College is an independent Christian school in rural Tasmania. We provide a rich learning environment, where we partner with parents, to direct their children on the right path toward intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual growth.
The Role
· pastoral care and leadership for the Year 10 class, commencing with class devotions each day and closing the day with announcements and prayer
· plan, teach, assess and report on Year 10 English and Year 9 & 10 HASS
· provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities for students
· work in collaboration with other staff to maintain a distinctive Christian education, by motivating and aligning practice with the School’s Vision, Mission & Values
· encourage students in a positive and supportive learning environment where student achievements are acknowledged.
You
· a committed Christian teacher with a deep desire to serve Jesus
· demonstrate a passion for Biblically-based Christian education & teaching
· demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential, catering for students with a range of learning abilities
· have excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff, parents and students
· demonstrate the ability in problem solving, flexibility, priority setting and time management
· hold a current Teachers’ Registration and Working with Vulnerable People Check
