We seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated Head of Sport teacher to lead and manage our sports programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a vibrant sporting culture that aligns with our educational philosophy. Commencing Term 4 2025, this position is full-time. Relocation assistance is available.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice, and have a passion for sporting activities.
The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community.
Essential qualifications and requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching.
- Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
- Able to demonstrate an active sporting lifestyle.
- A comprehensive understanding of risk management from a curriculum context.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.
- Able to affirm the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Able to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
- Able to work with all members of the College community.
- Able to work in Australia without the need for sponsorship.
