Freshwater Christian College is seeking a talented Psychology and Year 7 Science Teacher to join our Secondary School on a part-time basis, three days a week from Term 3 2026 for a 12-month contract to cover a staff member on parental leave. This is a unique opportunity to join a faith-filled community where academic rigour meets deep pastoral care.
About You
The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice in psychology. The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community.
Essential criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching.
- Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
- Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.
- Able to affirm the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Able to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
- Able to work with all members of the College community.
- A willingness to assist in extracurricular activities after normal working hours.
- Be legally permitted to work in Australia.
