We are seeking a qualified secondary mathematics teacher for a part-time, fixed-term contract three days a week, during Term 1, 2027, covering a staff member on approved leave.
About the Role
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in Mathematics across secondary year levels, three days per week
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the Australian Curriculum
- Integrate a Christian worldview and biblical values into curriculum planning and classroom culture
- Support students’ pastoral care and wellbeing
- Contribute to co-curricular life through school events and activities
Collaborate with a supportive team of educators committed to whole-person education
Essential criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching.
- Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
- Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.
- Able to affirm the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Able to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
- Able to work with all members of the College community.
- A willingness to assist in extracurricular activities after normal working hours.
- Be legally permitted to work in Australia.
