Pre-Service Teachers

Pre-Service Teachers are employed in the classroom by Flinders Christian Community College for two days per week for the duration of their course. Commencing January 2025.

They will also undertake teaching rounds and tailored professional development activities coordinated by the Alliance.

Applications for employment are invited from individuals enrolled in (or about to enrol in) M.Teach or B.Ed courses at Eastern College Australia (ECA).

The goals of the Alliance are:

To provide Christian schools with a supply of Biblically formed graduate teachers.
To present pre-service teachers with a model of initial teacher education that is grounded in a Christian worldview.
To ensure pre-service teachers are trained in best practice and ready to teach at the end of their studies.
To contribute to the growth of teaching and learning capacity across the Christian education sector.
