We are excited to invite applications for the position of Director at CITE Alliance Victoria. The Director will serve as the leader and public face of the CITE Alliance. They will be responsible for its ongoing sustainability, promotion and strategic growth. We are looking for a committed Christian as an experienced teacher educator and leader to join our passionate pioneering.

CITE Alliance is an apprenticeship model of Initial teacher training in partnership with their On-campus Tertiary Provider, Eastern College Australia, and Online-delivery Tertiary Provider Christian Heritage College.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director will:

• Be responsible to the Alliance Council, its accountability and reporting requirements.

• Provide Christian leadership to the CITE Alliance and be a passionate advocate for Christian education and the development of Christian teachers.

• Manage the sustainability of the Alliance and lead its future growth through promotional activities, student recruitment and school engagement.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the CITE Alliance.

• Oversee the recruitment of host schools and ensure positive ongoing relationships with key staff and stakeholders.

• Promote and communicate the vision and activities of the CITE Alliance Victoria.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with tertiary providers and key stakeholders.

• Oversee the recruitment, selection and induction of Associate Teachers.

• Provide high-quality supervision and mentoring for Associate Teachers.

• Support and promote high-quality teacher training in the partnership.

• Support and promote the delivery of Christian education in the partnership.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Committed Christian with active church involvement.

• Demonstrated commitment to Christian Education.

• Leadership experience in an educational setting.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate the vision of CITE Alliance with a wide range of audiences.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.

• Demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and planning.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• Knowledge of Initial Teacher Education processes and requirements preferred.

• Current teaching qualification and registration (VIT) preferred.

CONDITIONS

This is a permanent part-time (0.4 FTE) position, with a Term 1, 2026 start. The successful candidate will work 15 hours per week at days and times as negotiated based on candidate availability and organization requirements. Please note that some out-of-hours work will be required.
