Grounds and Facilities Officer

Endeavour Christian College is an independent, non-denominational Christian College located at Cooktown, in far north Queensland. Established in 2012, the College is one of 14 schools operated by Christian Community Ministries Ltd. The mission of Endeavour Christian College is to provide Christ-centred schooling in an atmosphere of love, respect, peace and discipline which will encourage students to achieve their full potential for God.

The College is seeking a suitably qualified or experienced person to look after the College Grounds and Facilities – general grounds and oval maintenance. All applicants must align with the College faith, values and ethos and have a capacity to work closely with the College leadership to achieve the goal of maintaining the buildings and grounds to a high standard and that it is a safe and inviting place for staff, students and visitors.

Terms and conditions of employment are as per the Christian Community Ministries Schools Enterprise Agreement 2024.

Desirable qualities and skills required:

• Qualifications and industry experience relevant to the position.
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks and general maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment, also work alone as required in a safe manner.
• Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in workplace health and safety and other compliance areas.
• Demonstrated computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Ability to organise and work collaboratively with external contractors and tradespersons.
• Possess a current driver’s licence.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a “Working with Children” Blue Card (this can be arranged via the College)
