About the Roles

Join our founding team at the new Reynella Early Learning Centre! We are inviting applications for multiple positions to help shape a nurturing, high-quality ELC environment. Opportunities include roles for an Assistant Director, educators, and co-educators.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – EARLY LEARNING CENTRE (REYNELLA)

The Assistant Director supports the Director in the establishment and leadership of the Reynella Early Learning Centre, ensuring high‑quality education, staff supervision, compliance and continuous improvement. This role includes regular time working directly with children and the opportunity to influence the culture and practice of a new centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Centre establishment, leadership and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Assist the Director with ensuring the Centre provides early childhood education of an exceptionally high standard.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of employees engaged in the implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs.
  • Ensure compliance with EYLF, NQF and WHS requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, staff and the wider College community

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS

Educators implement engaging, play‑based learning experiences that support children’s learning and development within a nurturing Christian environment at the Reynella Early Learning Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Plan, implement and evaluate curriculum aligned with the EYLF.
  • Observe, document and reflect on children’s learning and development.
  • Collaborate with families and colleagues to support each child’s wellbeing.
  •  As delegated by the Director, contribute to the implementation of the ELC’s curriculum in   consultation with the Educational Leader.
  • Work within a legal and ethical framework, in accordance with the NQS and national regulations.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CO‑EDUCATORS

Co‑Educators support educators in delivering high‑quality early learning programs and contribute to a warm, supportive and Christ‑centred environment for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily routines and learning experiences.
  • Assist with observations and documentation of children’s learning.
  • Maintain safe, engaging and welcoming learning spaces.
  •  Participate in professional learning and reflective practice.
  •  Work collaboratively with the Team Leader and Educational Leader, in contributing to the ELC’s curriculum.

EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHERS

  • In consultation with the Educational Leader and other Teachers, lead the implementation of the ELC’s curriculum.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, at the direction of the ELC Director, towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with the Educational Leader and Team to assess children and evaluate learning.
  • Collaborate and communicate with parents/families.
  • Work within a legal and ethical framework, based on NQS and national regulations.

  • A committed Christian with a deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.
  • Demonstrated passion for biblically-based Christian education.
  • Commitment to the Christian ethos of the College and the Statement of Faith.
  • A personal commitment to the Emmaus Vision, Mission and Values underpinning the delivery of a Christian based education to children.
  • Valid Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC and Senior First Aid certification (incl. CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma).
