School Assistant – Learning Support (Year 7-12)

About the Role

• Work among a growing team of committed Christian staff.
• Provide support to students across Year 7-12 at our South Plympton Campus, including in-class support, 1:1 subject support, and small group subject support.
• Promote student self-esteem by establishing supportive relationships.
• Liaise with teachers and provide feedback on student progress.

About You

• Be a committed Christian with a strong passion for Biblically based Christian education.
• Evidence of high-level interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff and young people.
• Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, flexibility, priority setting and time management.
• Secondary School experience would be advantageous.
• Confident in Secondary School subject content (especially numeracy and literacy) or have a proven ability to take on new learning as required.
• Whilst not a prerequisite, holding a Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support or demonstrating equivalent competencies at this grade would be an advantage.
• Current satisfactory Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC.
• First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential.
