About the Role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Director of Curriculum and Innovation at Emmaus Christian College. With an anticipated student body of approximately 1300 in 2025, our multi campus growing College is renowned for being among the top-performing schools academically in the State within a vibrant Christian community.

This pivotal executive leadership role encompasses the oversight of teaching, learning, and curriculum development across the entire College, with a particular emphasis on fostering innovation and pursuing excellence. As a key member of the College Executive team, you will undertake special projects in collaboration with the Executive Principal.

We offer a negotiable salary that reflects the seniority of this position, noting that it reports directly to the Executive Principal. Joining our dynamic and high-achieving leadership team, you will have a significant impact on the educational direction of our staff, numbering over 200. The ideal candidate will have a profound love for God, a deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy, and a passion for nurturing children to realise their full potential, empowering them to serve God and contribute to His Kingdom in meaningful and impactful ways.

About You

  • A committed Christian with a strong passion for Biblically-based Christian education and deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.
  • An appropriate qualification in Teacher Education; with relevant post-graduate qualifications in Education as an advantage.
  • Experience in working closely with educational staff across ELC – Year 6; and Year 7-12 environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead staff in professional development.
  • A working knowledge of Australian Curriculum and SACE requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in highly effective classroom teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and positively influence team environments.
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate through a variety of means.
  • Current Teachers’ Registration, valid Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC and First Aid certification.
