The successful applicant will:

Applications are invited from innovative and dynamic Christian teachers qualified to teach HASS in Years 7 – 10. This is a part-time (0.40 FTE) position starting in Term 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of quality HASS teaching programs in secondary school.

• actively demonstrate a commitment to promote the objectives and ethos of Christian Education as articulated in the Vision and Mission of the School.
• be a Christian, belong to a church and called to this ministry.
• demonstrate proficiency in the Western Australian Curriculum.
• demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills.
• demonstrate initiative, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons in HASS to Years 7 – 10
• Work collaboratively with the HASS Learning Area to produce fair and educative assessments and improve on teaching programs with relation to the needs of current students.

Selection Criteria:

• Experience teaching HASS to students in Years 7-10.
• The capacity to design creative and engaging educational opportunities for students which support their growth as independent and resilient learners
• Experience with ICT skills
• Excellent English oral and written literacy skills
• Organisational and administrative skills
• Experience / ability to teach HASS courses to Year 11 and 12 students would be an advantage.
