We are currently seeking a dynamic, supportive and proactive Head of Learning Area (Mathematics) to join our team. This position is to cover Long Service Leave and will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2027 and conclude at the end of the Term 3, 2027 holidays.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, leadership, and teaching skills, together with a proven ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and the wider school community. A passion for positively impacting the lives of young people through Christ-centred education is essential.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience with demonstrated success in student outcomes and successful completion of ATAR courses to support WACE requirements.
  • Proven ability to build the capacity of staff within a culture of support and creating a learning environment where students can aspire, learn and grow.
  • Responsiveness to the learning strengths and needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated innovation and creativity in teaching and learning practices.
  • Effective integration of ICT to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of and proficiency in implementing the Western Australian Curriculum.
  • Ability to initiate, organise, and lead innovative programs that promote Mathematics within the School and the wider community.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics Methods in Years 11 and 12 would be highly regarded.
