Title: Secondary Teacher – English, Mathematics, Humanities & Christian Life (Years 6–10)

Location: Wyndham Vale, Victoria 3024

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 (pro rata) depending on qualifications and experience

Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing

Start Date: Term 3, 2025 or as negotiated

 

Christway College is seeking a Secondary Teacher to deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons across English, Mathematics, Humanities and Christian Life for Years 6-10. This role will suit an educator with excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom leadership, and a commitment to inclusive, student-focused teaching.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Teach English, Mathematics, Humanities and Christian Life across Years 6–10

·       Develop and implement differentiated, curriculum-aligned lessons

·       Create a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment

·       Assess and report on student progress using data-informed practices

·       Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school community life

 

Essential Criteria

·       Recognised teaching qualification and eligibility for VIT registration

·       5+ years of teaching experience across secondary or upper primary

·       Strong classroom management and pastoral care experience

·       Confident in using ICT and assessment tools

·       Alignment with Christian values and Christway’s mission

 

Desirable Experience

·       Experience leading or supporting curriculum development

·       Track record of improving student outcomes and academic performance

·       Experience teaching students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds

·       Familiarity with Australian or international educational frameworks

·       Ability to contribute to co-curricular and community programs
