Christway College – Kingston is currently seeking vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic applicants for a Music Teacher position for our Year 9/10 Music Elective to inspire our students to continue their journey in music.

This position is part-time, time fraction tbc. An immediate start is desirable, however the commencement date is negotiable. This is a fixed term contract until the end of the 2024 school year. We welcome and encourage new graduates and experienced teachers to apply.

Key Selection Criteria

·         Be a qualified teacher holding current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), and with an expertise and passion to teach in this specialist subject area.

·         Skills and enthusiasm to inspire students to continue on their journey in music

·         The ability to monitor and assess student learning data and to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.

·         A willingness to grow and develop as a teacher through reflection on their practice, taking on feedback and seeking personal and professional learning opportunities.

·         Excellent written, presentation, teaching, organisational and communication (written and verbal) skills.

·         A willingness to work collaboratively and contribute to the Christian ethos and Christian community of the College, including contributing to extra-curricular activities.

Christway College Kingston is an independent, Christian co-educational College for students from Prep to Year 12. The College is located in the South-East suburbs of Melbourne, about a 30-minute drive from the Melbourne CBD and has a current enrolment of 365 students. [1]
