Christian Education Ministries (CEM) is a Protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them. CEM is wholeheartedly committed to excellence in education so that students are “well known, well loved, and well taught” by dedicated trained Christian staff.
CEM is a growing network, with 16 schools (including the Australian Christian College schools) and 3 early learning centres, in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education and home schooling provider in Australia.

About the role
An opportunity exists to work in the Business & Finance Team who are passionate about using their abilities with the latest in accounting technology to deliver financial services to customers, suppliers, staff and CEM across the nation.
The Accounts Receivable/Payable Team Leader is responsible for the leadership of:
- the Customer/Accounts Receivable function
- the Supplier/Accounts Payable function
This full-time position reports to the Assistant Chief Financial Officer and is to start as soon as is practicable.
The salary for this position is commensurate with relevant education, skills, and experience. The ballpark range is $90-110k.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or demonstrated equivalent industry/professional experience and membership (or studying to become a member) of Australian Professional Accounting Association
- Capacity to work and collaborate within a dynamic team, and to support a number of staff in the performance of their responsibilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders throughout the organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Confident in using cloud-based applications and familiar with modern technology.
- Ability to maintain an energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic work ethic.
- Possess, or would be successful in obtaining, a Working with Children Check.
- Servant heart, vibrant Christian faith, and are actively involved in your local church.
