Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with over 1,700 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south eastern outskirts of Melbourne.

We are currently seeking the services of a dedicated Laboratory Technician to commence work in the Science department at our Drouin Campus in Term 1.

Some key responsibilities will include the following:

·         Setting a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle

·         Assisting teaching staff with demonstrations of laboratory techniques

·         Maintaining adequate laboratory supplies for classes

·         Undertaking workplace safety for the Science department

·         Maintaining registers in relation to OHS obligations

·         Liaising with organisation and industries regarding materials and equipment

Having obtained relevant experience as a Laboratory Technician, the successful candidate will also possess the following important characteristics:

·         Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith

·         Qualifications as a Laboratory Technician (desirable)

·         Excellent people and communication skills

·         Sound science and technology skills

·         Knowledge of related regulations and legislation

·         Ability to provide a satisfactory Working with Children check
