Pathways Coordinator

Cedar College is seeking a Pathways Coordinator (non-teaching) to support students in Years 7-12 to plan and navigate their future education, training and career options by providing guidance on subject selection, university pathways, apprenticeships, traineeships, employment and Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cedar College Pathways Coordinator supports students to plan and navigate their future education, training and career options by providing guidance on subject selection, university pathways, apprenticeships, traineeships, employment and Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities. In line with the vision, Christian ethos and strategic direction of the College, they will work closely with students, families, staff, tertiary institutions, training providers and employers to connect students with relevant experiences such as work placements, career counselling and pathway programs. The role helps ensure that each student has a clear and achievable post-school pathway that aligns with their interests, strengths and aspirations.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Competency in processes involved with VET, SACE and SATAC.
Sound working knowledge of VET, Career Pathways and Apprenticeships.
Sound administration and organisational skills, showing attention to detail.
High level literacy, numeracy, communication, and ICT skills.
Current Responding to Risk Harm and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) Certificate in an education setting.
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

Experience in a similar role in an educational setting is desirable.
