Cedar College is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher with expertise in Food and Hospitality and Child Studies to join our teaching team for a full-time 12 Month Leave Replacement Contract, commencing in Term 2, 2026.
This role involves delivering engaging Food & Hospitality lessons to students in Years 7–10 and SACE Stage 1 and 2 Child Studies, contributing to their holistic growth.

Cedar College is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher with expertise in Food and Hospitality and Child Studies to join our teaching team for a full-time 12 Month Leave Replacement Contract, commencing in Term 2, 2026.
This role involves delivering engaging Food & Hospitality lessons to students in Years 7–10 and SACE Stage 1 and 2 Child Studies, contributing to their holistic growth.
The successful candidate will: Have the ability and qualifications to teach Food and Hospitality to students in Years 7–10, and Child Studies in Year 11-12 Consider the ability to teach Christian Living an advantage Applicants are expected to teach according to the Australian Curriculum and the SACE and demonstrate how a Christian worldview informs their practice, aligning with the values and ethos of Cedar College.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in the subjects stated, for students in Years 7–12, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum and the SACE.
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.
- Incorporate a Christian worldview into teaching practice, connecting faith with learning in meaningful ways.
- Participate actively in Homegroup/Community sessions as required, building strong connections with students and supporting their wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and College leadership to maintain high standards of education and pastoral care.
- Attend school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities, contributing to the College’s unified culture.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Current Teacher Registration (South Australia).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current RRHAN-EC certificate (Responding to the Risk of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care Training).
- Protective Practices training (can be completed prior to commencement). Applications close at 9:00 am, Tuesday 10th March 2026
