Cedar College is an R-12 co-educational Christian school, situated in the suburb of Northgate, South Australia, 8 km north-east of the Adelaide CBD.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for 2 passionate ESOs who will hold close to the values of Cedar College and will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher, the Inclusive Learning Team and the Primary CLIC Coordinator.
Position Title: Classroom Education Support Officers (R-2) x 2 Positions
Commencing: 20/01/2025
Type: Permanent Part-Time
Hours of Work: 19-27 hours per week
Reports to: Primary School Leadership
FTE Salary: Commensurate with qualifications & experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, the ESO will partner with classroom teachers and our Cedar Learning Inclusion Centre (CLIC) team to implement early intervention in literacy and numeracy and tailor support to each child’s specific needs. This may be delivered in one-on-one, small group or through class assistance.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS AND CHECKS:
Certificate III in School-Based Education Support (or higher); a current Working with Children Check, Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and RRHAN-EC training (Responding to the Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training) prior to commencing employment at Cedar College.

- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the spectrum of learning difficulties and an awareness of the types of adjustments required to support
students. - Be reliable and responsible in building trust within the Cedar community and acting with excellence and integrity.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact with students and colleagues in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner.
- Ability to model and develop positive relationships with students and foster their social and emotional development.
