We are seeking an experienced High School teacher to join our existing teaching staff in the following highly valued subject areas and year levels:

Required:

  • Chemistry Year 11-12
  • Science Year 9 or 10

Desirable:

  • Mathematics Middle School
  • Christian Living Various
  • Community (Homegroup)

FTE equivalent: up to 1.0 FTE, if additional subjects of experience are included.
Salary:  Commensurate with qualifications & experience.

DETAILS SPECIFIC TO TEACHING POSITION(S)

The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with a passion for teaching, maximising student engagement, learning, and achievement, and for approaching their teaching from a Christian worldview.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced High School teacher to join our existing teaching staff in the following highly-valued subject areas and year levels:

  • Chemistry – SACE Stage 1 & 2
  • Science – Year 9-10

Additional subjects will be considered to create a full-time load by negotiation, if necessary.
The successful applicant will teach these important subject/s according to the Australian Curriculum and the SACE, across a range of secondary year levels. The ability to incorporate a Christian worldview into these subject areas will be highly valued.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrate a sincere commitment to Jesus Christ, the philosophy of Christian Education, and be actively involved in your local church.
  • Align with the core beliefs of the College and committed to the vision, ethos, and strategic direction of the College.
  • A vibrant, growing relationship with God.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative and unified College culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills with staff, students, and parents.
    Teachable and of sound character.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

  • Approved teacher education qualification, registered as a teacher in South Australia.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A current RRHAN-EC certificate (Responding to the Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training).
  • Protective Practices training (which can be completed prior to commencing employment).
