Executive Assistant to the Head of Secondary

Carmichael College is a dynamic, developing College, committed to educational excellence in an overt and distinctly Christian environment. We are a non-denominational, independent Christian school located in Morayfield, Queensland. Currently the College offers a Prep to Year 11 program, extending each year to Year 12 in 2025. With a current student population of over 800, projections indicate that student numbers will peak at around 1,400.

The College is seeking applications from experienced, self-motivated, team-oriented Executive Assistants to provide exceptional support to our Leadership Team. The successful applicant will be a highly trusted member of a friendly and hands-on office team.

The Role:

This position is focused on providing support to the Head of Secondary. Day to day key tasks and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Coordination of school events
Comprehensive professional email, and diary management
Scheduling meetings and appointments
Preparing forms, spreadsheets and documents
Minute taking at meetings
Maintaining confidential records
Extensive communication with a variety of external and internal stakeholders
Carrying out projects for the Leadership Team
Personal Assistant duties as required.
The Person:

To be the successful applicant you will need to demonstrate:

A high level of proficiency in organising and coordinating large events
Advanced skills in administration and computer literacy (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential) and be ‘tech savvy’
Experience working with senior management
High level written communication skills
Effective time management strategies and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
Commitment to a personal faith in Jesus Christ and able to translate faith into practice
Personal philosophies that align with, and fully support the College mission, values and beliefs as expressed in the College Statement of Faith and Code of Ethics
Strong interpersonal skills – having experience with discretion and executing judgement
High level of resilience and the ability to respond to changing demands/needs
Corporate presentation with a confident and friendly personality
Proactivity and reliability with a solid stable work history
Flexibility, forward thinking, enthusiasm, confidence with decision making, and excellent problem-solving skills
Great attention to detail and demonstrated team participation with a high level of responsiveness (essential)
The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality (essential)
A current Blue Card (working with children check).
