Carmichael College is a dynamic, developing College, committed to educational excellence in an overt and distinctly Christian environment. We are a non-denominational, independent Christian school located in Morayfield, Queensland. Currently the College offers a Prep to Year 12 program. With a current student population of 870, projections indicate that student numbers will peak at around 1,400.
The College is seeking applications from experienced, self-motivated, team-oriented Chaplaincy Administrator, to provide exceptional support to our Primary Students on campus. The successful applicant will be a highly trusted member of a friendly and hands-on and supportive team.
The Role: Duration: 2 Days Term Time ONLY
Monitor and respond to chaplaincy email address and chaplaincy team on-call mobile phone.
Record minutes and prepare reports for team meetings
Receive new referrals for support and follow procedure to appropriately communicate as needed with chaplains, parents/carers and staff
Work alongside chaplaincy team in ensuring necessary documentation is filed effectively
Prepare resources for programs alongside chaplains
Work alongside the chaplaincy team to provide administrative support for key events throughout the year such as You Belong Day, World Friendship Day and Are You Okay Day etc.
Coordinate ‘The Gathering’ program focused on staff wellbeing
Coordinate rostering and ordering of supplies for the weekly Brekkie Club program
The Person:
To be the successful applicant you will need to demonstrate:
A high level of proficiency in organising and coordinating events
Advanced skills in administration and computer literacy (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential) and be ‘tech savvy’
High level written communication skills
Effective time management strategies and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
Commitment to a personal faith in Jesus Christ and able to translate faith into practice
Personal philosophies that align with, and fully support the College mission, values and beliefs as expressed in the College Statement of Faith
Strong interpersonal skills – having experience with discretion and executing judgement
High level of resilience and the ability to respond to changing demands/needs
Proactivity and reliability with a solid stable work history
Flexibility, forward thinking, enthusiasm, confidence with decision making, and excellent problem-solving skills
Great attention to detail and demonstrated team participation with a high level of responsiveness (essential)
The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality (essential)
A current Blue Card (working with children check).
