Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield, Queensland. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth.
As Carmichael College expands its Secondary School, the College Board is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Christian Educational Leaders for the position of Secondary Head of Department: Sport & HPE (Health and Physical Education).
The negotiable start date for this position is Monday 14th July 2025 (1st day of Term 3).
The successful applicant will:

· Be passionate about teaching and learning as it relates to students in the Secondary campus

· Applicants must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers
Role Description
The Head of Department: Sport and HPE has two major components. Firstly, the successful candidate will oversee the teaching and learning program, including monitoring and managing the curriculum development and implementation, monitoring student progress and managing a team of teachers and support staff. Having experience in Queensland Senior School processes would be an advantage, including both ATAR and non-ATAR pathways.
Secondly, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team to deliver the extra-curricular sporting program of the Secondary school, including delivery of carnivals and special academy programs.
In both these areas, the successful candidate will do this work in alignment with the Christian mission and vision of the college.
