Carbrook Animal Assisted Learning Centre (Carbrook Centre) is a Christian, independent, co-educational, small Special Assistance School catering for students from Year 7-12 who have disengaged from mainstream schooling.
Carbrook Centre offers an individualised, relational and holistic approach to education for students who have disengaged from their education due to social and emotional difficulties often related to childhood trauma. Many of our students and families are significantly disempowered due to their socioeconomic background and the impact of poverty.
We welcome applications from established Educational Leaders for this vital leadership role. The successful candidate will embed our educational philosophy based on the Neurosequential Model (NME) and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and will oversee:
· Leading Teaching and Learning, including the continued integration of animal-assisted learning into the educational program
· Leading Student Wellbeing, including by implementing trauma-informed and restorative practices using the Neurosequential Model of Education
· Developing Self and Others
· Leading Improvement, Management and Change
· Operational Systems, Policies and Processes
