CAPS (Christian Aboriginal Parent Directed School, WA) is a K-12, co-education Christian school with boarding facilities for years 7-12. It is located in Coolgardie, about 30km from Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields, and 6 hours from Perth along the Great Eastern Highway.

Our Christ-centred learning community is committed to fostering spiritual growth and advancing in scholastic and athletic gifts of each unique student for entry into tertiary institutions and the communities they will build. We have a strong tradition of promoting schooling for Indigenous students.

We are seeking an applicant for the job of tutoring and homework support for our hostel students after school hours.

The applicant should:

  1. Have a Bachelor of Education degree or a Certificate III or IV in Education Support
  2. A teacher applicant should have a current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA), Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) and First Aid Training
  3. Be current with vaccination status. We prefer booster shot to be best arrangement.
  4. Work for 3 hours in the evening after school from Monday to Thursday from 4pm – 5pm and 6pm – 8pm. Also, successful candidate may be asked to work with hostel students during school hours at the school campus.
  5. Work individually with students having learning challenges in literacy and numeracy. The candidate will also be expected to supervise homework sessions at the hostel.
