Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. The Role

The Head of Mathematics is a key middle-leadership role within the Secondary Learning Community, providing leadership and direction across the Mathematics curriculum, teaching and learning program.

The successful applicant will:

* Lead the Mathematics team with a servant-hearted approach, modelling professional growth, collaboration and excellence in teaching practice;
* Provide curriculum leadership across the Secondary Mathematics program, ensuring learning is purposeful, engaging, challenging and well sequenced;
* Foster high levels of student engagement, achievement and a genuine love of learning in Mathematics;
* Support and develop teachers through collaboration, mentoring, professional learning and reflective practice;
* Lead effective curriculum planning, assessment, moderation and reporting processes;
* Contribute actively to faculty and whole-school planning, policy development and strategic priorities;
* Use student achievement data and evidence-informed practice to support continuous improvement;
* Build positive and professional relationships with students, staff, families and the wider College community;
* Effectively manage faculty resources and contribute to responsible budget management;
* Promote a positive, collaborative and high-performing Mathematics culture; and
* Contribute to the broader life and Christian community of the College

About You

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about Mathematics and excited by the opportunity to lead others and make a difference.

The successful applicant will:

* Hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in Education, with Mathematics as a teaching area;
* Hold current Queensland Teacher Registration;
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of contemporary Mathematics teaching and learning practices;
* Have experience teaching Mathematics across the Secondary years;
* Demonstrate leadership capability, initiative and a willingness to support and develop colleagues;
* Have strong curriculum, assessment and planning skills;
* Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills;
* Be committed to fostering high expectations and positive learning outcomes for all students;
* Work collaboratively and contribute positively to a professional team environment;
* Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development;
* Be eligible to work in Australia; and
* Be a practising Christian, actively involved in their local church, and fully supportive of the College’s Statement of Faith (available on our website).
