As our College continues to grow, we are seeking a Student Coordinator for Year 7/8.

The Student Coordinator is a Position of Added Responsibility (PAR) and will be directly responsible to the Director of Students for day-to-day wellbeing and academic care and is primarily responsible for the development of student culture. Working closely with all members of the BCC team to ensure our students are fully engaged in their learning, developing deep school pride, displaying honourable character and desiring an education that enables them opportunities beyond their formal schooling. The Student Coordinator will be responsible for bridging the gap between wellbeing and academic care. The Student Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Students, the Directors of Teaching & Learning, Curriculum, and the Deputy Principal, Middle and Senior School to set high expectations for all students, providing a supportive environment that enables them to achieve to their potential.

Students: Safety, Wellbeing and Culture

  • Lead the safety, wellbeing and culture of an allocated year level.
  • Manage student wellbeing, behaviour and safety matters, including parent communication.
  • Coordinate year level wellbeing, transition, leadership and camp programs.

Staff Leadership

  • Support and guide Class Mentors in pastoral care responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Students, Wellbeing Team and staff to support students.
  • Promote consistent and effective wellbeing and behaviour practices.

Student Engagement and Learning Readiness

  • Support student attendance, engagement and learning readiness.
  • Work with families and staff to address barriers to learning.
  • Refer academic concerns to relevant learning leaders when required.

Systems and Operations

  • Implement College policies, processes and wellbeing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, confidentiality and student follow-up.
  • Coordinate year level events and maintain a 0.50 FTE teaching load.
