Instructional Coach

Belmont Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian educator to join our leadership team as an Instructional Coach within the Primary School (Pre-K to Year 6).

Situated in the Newcastle region, our College is a co-educational Christian school committed to providing a Christ-centred education, fostering student growth, and improving academic outcomes.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator enthusiastic about developing best practice teaching approaches and making a significant impact on student results. The successful applicant will be ready to commence in Term 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group coaching to Pre-K-6 teachers on best practice teaching approaches.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement data-driven practices that improve student literacy and numeracy outcomes.
• Evaluate teaching strategies and provide feedback to support teachers’ professional growth.
• Develop and utilise coaching resources that align with the College’s strategic priorities.
• Support staff in creating a Christ-centred learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, active involvement in a local church, and a commitment to the vision of Christian education.
• Current NESA Teacher Registration and a Working with Children Check.
• Proven experience in instructional coaching, data-driven practices, and improving literacy and numeracy outcomes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for supporting staff development and fostering student growth.
