ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Belgrave Heights Christian School (BHCS) is located in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria and is a thriving and vibrant educational institution established in 1983 with over 830 students from Kinder – Year 12.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a high quality teacher with the ability to join our enthusiastic, close knit Visual Art team, commencing at the start of 2025 in a part-time position teaching Art from Year 9 – 12, including VCE Art Creative Practice.  Other teaching methods are also welcome and the position would be suitable for talented graduates or experienced teachers.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have the appropriate VIT registration and qualifications.
  • Be a Christian role model to students and to all people associated with the School.
  • Inspire the students to enjoy Art as a gift from and a response to God.
  • Lead student devotions and provide an example of active Christian faith in response to devotions, curriculum and other class discussions.
  • Actively support and adhere to the School’s vision, mission, ethos and values.

As a Child Safe School we promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, including those with a disability. As such, the Staff Code of Conduct and Child Safe Policies must be adhered to, resulting in all applicants undergoing rigorous reference, background and identity checking.
