Belgrave Heights Christian School (BHCS) is located in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria and is a thriving and vibrant educational institution established in 1983 with over 830 students from Kinder – Year 12.

ABOUT THE POSITION
An opportunity has arisen for a highly capable Finance Officer to join our close-knit finance team, for commencement as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will require an appropriate level of training, skills, and experience to fulfil the requirements of this role and a desire to grow in their personal and professional capacity.
This is close to a full-time role, with the ability to take off extra weeks during school holiday periods.
The role includes but is not limited to the following functions:
- End-to-end Accounts Payable processing
- Bank and Credit Account Reconciliations
- Conveyance Allowance & CSEF processing
- Casual timesheet calculations
- Providing support to the Finance Manager & Business Manager
- Assisting staff with budget queries
The successful applicant must have, or be able to demonstrate, the following:
- Experience with MYOB, or similar accounting package.
- High proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in Word & Google Suites, or similar packages
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment – being able to multitask and work with tight deadlines
- High-level attention to detail and record keeping
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
- Have a current employer Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one).
- Have a strong knowledge of and commitment to Child Safety principles and be willing to commit to ongoing learning in this area
- Be a Christian role model and be able to demonstrate an active faith to students and to all people associated with the School
- Actively support and adhere to the School’s vision, mission, and ethos.
Preferred but not essential:
- Experience with Alii or similar automated Accounts Payable system
- Current First Aid training
