About Hobart
Our Hobart campus is a co-educational K–10 school with a reputation for academic progress, character development, and student care. About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Aide to support our teaching staff and students in the classroom. The successful candidate will assist in providing a positive learning environment and help students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and assisting students with learning activities.
- Work with small groups or individual students requiring additional support.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation, resource organisation, and administrative tasks.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual development in line with the school’s Christian values.
- Supervise students during breaks, activities, and excursions as required.
This part time (65 hours per fortnight) role commences Term 3 2026.
Essential Requirements:
- A passion for working with children in a Christian educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- Commitment to upholding the Christian ethos and values of the school.
Desirable Attributes:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent experience) desirable.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Understanding of contemporary educational practices and classroom management.
- Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities and school community life.
