Head of Primary

A committed and enthusiastic Christian educational leader is required to fulfil the role of Head of Primary at Asian Hope International School in Siem Reap for January 2025.  The candidate’s personal and professional qualities are important in finding the right person.

AHIS is dedicated to providing a high quality, child-centred education in a safe Christian environment, ensuring that every child feels worthy and appreciated. Children at AHIS learn through a unique bilingual curriculum based on the English National Curriculum which is integrated with the Cambodian Curriculum following an integrated Topic approach.

AHIS-SR Early Years comprises students from 3 to 6 years of age in EY1, 2, 3 and Year 1 and Primary students in a Year 2 / class.. EY 1 – 3 follow the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and Year 1 – 3 follow the Primary English National Curriculum. Students begin Khmer phonics in EY2. Learning in Early Years is play-based and the curriculum is integrated through free-flow activities.  The Head of Primary role would include leading the teaching and learning for both Early Years and Primary classes. The current building has room for the school to grow over the next few years and this would be a significant part of the Head of Primary’s role.
